I positively love Nicholas Kirkwood. He is so impressively innovative, creative, and at times, downright shocking. His "architectural" designs showcase both his technical prowess as a designer and his ability to infuse an edgy femininity that is unprecedented.
So join FA'SHOE'NISTA's Designer Showcase in feasting on the delicious designs of Nicholas Kirkwood. Bon appetite!

Designer Showcase: Diane Von Furstenberg

Photo cred: Neiman Marcus
Hello, my Lovelies!
Hope your week is going well. Fall is fast approaching and it's time for every fashionista to decide whether to add new additions to an existing wardrobe or trash the existing wardrobe and buy a whole new one. (Wow, doesn't THAT sound delicious!)
One of my favorite all time designers and Neiman Marcus's choice for it's Focus Event this month is Diane Von Furstenberg. I know I've written about this great designer before, but her fall collection has really stirred up my inner wish lusts...er...list. HA!
From fur hats that invoke images of the daughters of Russian Czars, to big floppy sweaters that cover itty bitty block colored dresses underneath, DVF's collection is fun, quirky, and sexy. Platform stilettos and wedge-heeled booties with fur trim round out this fresh and young collection. I particularly like the color palette from the house of Von Furstenberg: muted blues, satiny browns, blacks and animal block prints, with a bright tie-dye thrown in for good measure make for an easy elegance. These pieces make the transition from daytime to nighttime a breeze.
FA'SHOE'NISTA celebrates the style, grace, talent, and true staying power of fashiondom's forever young, Diane Von Furstenberg.

Pretty, Edgy, Pretty
Hello my fellow Lovelies. Hope your weekend was a great one and that your day is going well.
Please forgive the lack of postings, I'm working on some projects for the children's illustration blog and I've been drawing my little heart out trying to get my portfolio together. If you want to take a peek, sneak on over to Dream Out Loud! Design Studio, I won't mind:)
But in the meantime, to kick the week off right, here are some of my favorite designers who know how to combine prettiness with a flair of urban edginess thrown in for good measure.
Enjoy my Lovelies.
Kisses & Kudos!

Spectator Sport
Happy Weekend everyone! Hope all my divas are having a divalicious time.
I have always loved a good "Spectator" style in footwear and this lovely number by Mr. Shoes himself, Manolo Blahnik, fits the bill perfectly. Don't you agree?

Eagle with Shoes

How befitting that an eagle should transport a beautiful pair of shoes to unlimited heights. Just as the right pair of stilettos lifts a woman to a higher level of style and grace.
