Color Coding

Matching shoes with purse. Matching fingernail polish with lipstick. Matching eyeshadow with outfit (a definite no no in my book). Okay, I'm obviously not one for the total matching outfit. But when I saw these cross referenced beauty bags and shoes, I couldn't help but visualize these wondrous works together. Add your personal ensemble to these couples and create your own deliciously diva like marriage made in fashion heaven...

YAAAAY FOR 100!

I'm finally here! My 100th post. Yaaay for me.
When I started this blog, I really wasn't sure what direction it was going in. But it has been such a joy ride, from finding wonderful shoes to showcase, to all the Loverlees I've met in fashion blogdom.

It's been a great ride and I look forward to 100 more, again and again. Love you all for visiting with me and keep coming back!

And now on to the good stuff...

Gucci has really been cutting edge lately. The platforms are to die for. Funky and feminine all at once. No doubt, Gucci's got it goin' on. Wouldn't you agree, my Loverlees?

FINALLY! It's Spring...

Well! We made it, my Loverlees. It's officially Springtime. Yaaaay! Okay, it's still a little cold, but at least we know that warmer weather is just around the corner. Springtime color, as I'm sure you know if you've seen my last two posts, is my current obsession. Spring is the beginning of new life. In a literal sense, it means that life is springing forth from death. Grass blades are springing forth from a once dead and frozen ground. Green buds are springing forth from once frozen, bare tree limbs. Babies are being born and dressed like little rabbits :D The breeze is warmer without being hot and dry. Everything is just right.

This is true fashion wise as well. Big, giant coats give way to something lighter and more colorful. Open-toed shoes are now acceptable without tights, to allow for exposure of the newest springtime colors of nail polish. How lovely and freeing, the Springtime. A time for the revitalization and reinvention of oneself. New hair, new clothes, new makeup, new ideas, new trends, new handbags, and most importantly, new shoes! Ahhh, new shoes... what a wonderful concept!

Whether you choose to enjoy a long awaited warm breeze on your way to the mall, or opt for online shopping, "shopping" is the operative word for springtime. From the uber expensive to the aptly affordable, the entrance of spring brings with it a myriad of choices for the fashionably astute. RedTagClothing.com, a wholesale clothing online shop, offers a wide variety of everything from dresses to accessories and best of all shoes! And their site is really easy to navigate.

From the other end of the spectrum and high on the drool factor, is my personal favorite designer of the moment, Camilla Skovgaard. I think this dynamo from Denmark is an awesome designer and will be around for a long time, her place undoubtedly secured in the anals of fashion.

The Color of Spring, Part Deux

Hello, my Loverlees. Well time is Marching on (maybe just a little pun intended) and the colors of spring are hot and heavy in Designer Shoedom. Big names are busting open their crayolas and coloring inside, outside, and all around the lines. Shoes are brighter, bolder, and more daring with bright oranges, greens, yellows, fuchsias, candy-apple reds, and various tones of lavender and blue. So perk up that LBD with a pop of color that's sure to have all roads leading to your stylish self.

Oh, and if you've seen some of these designs before on this site, please charge it to my head and not my heart, or to the fact that I like the design enough to show it again. Have a wonderful week ahead!

Are you a true ShoeAholic?

TrendyShoeShop.com, a fantastic site for the shoe-obsessed, ran a wonderful article on Celebrity ShoeAholics. It's amazing to see what a true FA'SHOE'NISTA can achieve given the resources to indulge in her passion for shoes. Here are just a few of the major offenders in the extravagant shoe collection department. Viva La Carrie Bradshaw!

Desperate Housewife, Eva Longoria is a girl after my own heart. What better way to decorate a beautiful new closet than to fill it with lots and lots of beautiful shoes! Aaahhhhh, the sweet life of the shoe obsessed fashionista!

Straight Up, now tell us Paula...how many pairs are you holding? For Paula Abdul, organization is the key. According to TrendyShoeShop.com, In Style Magazine revealed that the American Idol Diva has her shoes tagged and numbered for easy access. At a demur just over 5ft, the bulk of her collection consists of stilettos. I'm with you Paula, at just 5'4 myself, I can become fast friends with a good pair of stilettos.

It looks like MiMi wasn't the only one emancipated. Apparently, Mariah Carey freed just over 1000 pairs of shoes from their respective shops and gave them a new home in her massive closet.

Photo: TrendyShoeShop.com
The eclectic singer, Celine Dion, owns between two or three thousand pairs of shoes...maybe. An exact number is apparently out of the question when you have so many pairs that you've lost count and can only give an estimate of the number of your obsession.
According to TrendyShoeShop.com, the singer admitted to the UK TV show, This Morning, that her favorite hobbies are golfing and shopping.

Christina Aguilera needs a ladder on wheels to reach her massive shoe collection. With a shoe "wall" that runs floor to ceiling, one can only imagine the number of shoes the pop diva has in her possession. Love the 60's Mod look, don't you? Those YSL's really set it off.

Leave it to Mega Mogul, Beyonce Knowles to hit the town sporting these urber expensive Balenciagas that go for a staggering $4175.00! Trendyshoeshop.com reported that Beyonce is a self-proclaimed shoeaholic who proudly admits her addiction and her inablity to resist a pair of stilettos whenever she passes a shoe store. The singer also lives a FA'SHOE'NISTA's dream of receiving free shoes as a result of modeling shoots! What more can one say? Sasha Rules!

WINNER HANDS DOWN...La Lohan!

Photo: TrendyShoeShop.com
Trendyshoeshop.com cited a report in VipGlamour that the actress revealed to British Elle that she was worse than Imelda Marcos, owning an incredible 5000, that's right, 5000 pairs of shoes! Not only do stilettos help Lindsay Lohan pull together her look, they also give her emotional support. The actress admits that stilettos help her not to be depressed. How deep of a dent does such a massive shoe collection put in one's pocketbook? Lohan's shoe collection is estimated at an astronomical $1,500,000.00! Still believe that money can't buy happiness? Maybe you're shopping in the wrong place.

FA'SHOE'NISTA! thanks TrendyShoeShop.com for an insightful article on the world's greatest obsession for women. Want more great shoe news on the latest designer shoe fashions? Be sure to check out TrendyShoeShop.com for your next footwear fix.

Feeling a Little Cagey...

Hello, my Bellas! Hope your weekend is going well. Finally, we're getting some much deserved warmer weather here in my little neck of the Metro Detroit woods. It's raining and slightly foggy here today, perfect for lying around and doing nothing. Too bad I've got to finish editing a novel and clean up my abode. Oh well...

If you don't know by now, I have a serious craving for what I call "naked shoes" for the spring/summer seasons. Sexy, trendy, and very feminine, I love to indulge in an open shoe that reveals perfectly manicured toes and smooth silky feet--hint, hint, clean up and smooth off those puppies before trying these beauties below from Manolo Blahnik and Fendi.

Much love to all my stylish sirens.

Ciao Bellas!
